Meet Cassandra  (she/her)

"If a person feels accepted and understood, then healing occurred" - Natalie Rogers.

I believe in the importance of humanity to nurture growth. Sharing your story can be intimidating, but I am honored to support you through hardship. Utilizing person-centered and trauma-informed approaches, I see you as a whole human who has fought battles to arrive where they are today. In addition, I take a laid-back approach to cognitive behavioral therapy where we learn more about you as a whole, and explore how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impact our experience.

With 5+ years of experience in community mental health, substance use and medication-assisted treatment, I believe in holistic approaches to recovery. As a registered art therapist, I know the importance of creativity and self-expression when fostering mental wellness.  Ultimately, I know the connection between client and therapist is the most important factor toward healing. My ideal client would be open to exploring their lived experiences through artistic reflection. I have a special place in my heart for young adults with emotional disorders finding their place in life and managing stress, although I enjoy working with teens through older adulthood.

In my personal life, I'm a lover of cats, travel, coffee, tattoos, Noah Kahan, and the Steelers. I keep myself grounded by spending time in nature, getting lost in my art, or cuddling my fur baby. If we seem like a good fit, I'm ready to embark on a journey toward healing as soon as you are.
